Your Role:

The Commercial Product Manager (CPM) provides product line support for strategy, operational readiness and on-going OB`s support. This position requires close interaction with OB`s Product and Marketing (channels). Strong communication skills are a must. Duties include convey product strategy and help OBs to do product positioning, producing key market messages in coordination with the growth marketing manager (GMM), and supporting the growth marketing team (GMT) when working with the OB on launching products and new capabilities into the market.


-Provide further insights into Product and Marketing, to be able to front OBs without having to constantly involve Product Manager (PM).
-Product strategy: understand why and trends (from PM, UX and own resources), bring local market insights (from OBs and end customers) into strategy
-Product roadmap: understand what and when
-Facilitate channel training including competitive threats and related industry news
-Be able to produce a dialog with the OBs to communicate what`s coming and get OBs inputs (not "requirements"). Challenge "needs" based on business indications (additional users, additional engagement expected/planned)
-Measure & analyse effectiveness of local product marketing programs in coordination with GMT
-Maintain and support OB`s and GMT in product launch plans and promotional efforts (supported by Project Management function, but bringing this input into the global plans)
-Identify best opportunities for local lead generation
-Create locally-focused presentations and demos for new functionality based on the global material produced by PM
-Identify product references from other OBs to translate into their own discourse (e.g. share insights)
-Bring OB insights and inputs within product team and growth marketing team- defend relevancy of this into the roadmap (challenge Product)
-Balance local needs/environment with global approach: find synergies across several OBs
-Suggest, in coordination with GMT, acquisition strategy to the OB

Key work relationships

The CPM role will report into the Director of Marketing, and will have the following key work relationships:
-With OBs local product/marketing teams to support definition of local strategy for channels and communication and gather insights/input
-With GMT to work on market messages, growth-hacking activities, commercial activities, deliver content and measuring marketing efforts
-With PMO at a PM joint council, to aggregate insights across OBs and find synergies. Sync sessions to be held at least fortnightly, although in the first rounds should be a weekly set up to create the process. Bring OB and local market insights into the council discussions

Skills & experience:

-Extensive Commercial & Product Management skills
-Strong Commercial acumen and strategic thinking
-Influence effectively cross-functionally across all levels of management, with proven ability to work with senior stakeholders across geographies, cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders on multiple projects.
-Passion for creating the best product-market fit so that the capabilities of the product can be best leveraged in the markets under their responsibility, and to provide the insight into the product that would make it the best fit into the local market
-Mobile Product management competencies such as evolving UX from concept to reality, balancing legal and non-functional requirements to offer outstanding customer experience
-Strong system view with an ability to develop strategy and business plans
-A passionate leader and communicator, with demonstrated talent at building strong collaborative partnerships with product and other cross-functional teams
-Background of strong analytics and turning data into knowledge/insights and finally strategy
Grade: PCGT
