A bit about the team:

Our case management team are responsible for giving the business expert Employee Relations advice on a wide range of issues, making sure our employees are supported 100% of the time whether it be from a grievance to flexible working issues.

What role will you play in this?

As an Employee Relations expert you`ll partner with an area (or areas) of our business to provide judgement and advice to line managers and employees. You`ll need to be a great Relationship Manager as a large part of this role is just that. Working closely with key stakeholders in your business area, you`ll share MI on a regular basis and will always be focused on continuous improvement for the UK Business.

Some of your key stakeholders include our European People Service Centre (EPSC) teams, line managers, Telefonica UK HR teams, Legal, Trade Unions, and Fraud and Security.

Responsibilities in the role:

-Provide timely remote expert advice to line managers and HR colleagues on the application and interpretation of a wide spectrum of complex/red flag issues from people policies
-Share the agreed MI for the business area you are partnering and proactively identify trends and interventions to support these
-Support line managers and HR Colleagues at disciplinary hearings remotely and face to face
-Manage effectively high risk/high profile cases, engaging senior stakeholders, Legal, PR, ER
-Ensure Telefonica UK is legally protected in all employee related matters, while considering the employee experience and balancing appropriate risk
-Ensure delivery of Service Level Agreements
-Support Legal with the collation of documentation and interface with witnesses

What we need from you:

-Experience of providing expert advice to line managers with disciplinary, grievance, dismissals, compromise agreements, discrimination and flexible working issues
-In depth understanding of UK employment law relating to case management and associated risks
-A thorough understanding of HR policy and processes
-Ability to influence at a senior level and strong stakeholder management skills
-Ability to manage high workloads and conflicting priorities
-Focused on continuous improvement
-Strong commercial awareness
-Strong attention to detail
Grade: MPG4
