About the Team:

The SMB Customer Marketing team have a deep understanding of the 1 - 2,000 employee businesses in the UK, then develop the strategy & plan for O2 to meet the needs of these customers better than anyone else and so drive our commercial success. We will help UK businesses mobilise and unlock their growth potential. This spans strategy development & execution; propositions & pricing; customer acquisition & retention and in life management across a broad range of products & services.

Your Role:

As the customer acquisition & device pricing lead you`ll be a key member of the SMB management team & be responsible for developing and delivering the customer acquisition plans across Soho, Mid Market and Partners to drive gross customer acquisition and value. You`ll be directly accountable for a team of 2 and will need strong cross functional skills to work with key stakeholders across sales, finance, multiple channels, IT, BI to ensure exceptional execution and results. In addition you will be responsible for the pricing of O2`s device range to ensure we are competitive while delivering our margin expectations. This role is also the lead role for overall trading.


-Promotional strategy and execution across our Soho, Mid and Partner Segments & Channels
-Design & delivery of plans to drive acquisition volume - both "hunter" and "farmer" teams
-Delivery of plans to drive customer value and achieve acquired value targets
-Lead on creating & co-ordinating overall SMB trading activity
-Responsible for SMB device (mobiles, tablets etc) pricing to deliver volume and margin targets.
-Input into device range and forecasts.
-Ensure promotional programme is exectuted across relevant channels across devices and tariffs
-KPIs: SMB Gross handset, MBB & SIMO
-SMB acquired net value and ARPU of acquisitions
-Acquisition CIC and device margin
-Build a strong cross-functional SMB virtual team across Marketing, Sales, Finance & Operations, ensuring focus on and alignment with the P&L objectives

Skills & experience:

-Proven experience of driving P&L performance
-Strong understanding of strategic business direction
-Strong knowledge of the mobile market place and trading environment.
-Proven experience of leading and motivating teams
-Demonstrable experience of management and leadership in a cross functional environment, must be able to influence across a complex organisational structure.
-Strong influencing skills & experience of management of stakeholders.
-Highly numerate and commercially driven
-Clear and articulate communicator.
-Ideally knowledge of SMB Market in telecoms or other related field
Grade: PCGT
