At O2, #OurPeopleAreTheReason why we’d never ask anyone to choose between their family and their career.

We know that life isn’t all about work, so we’ll help you enjoy the best of both worlds with a healthy work/life balance that ensures you won’t miss those special moments.

Flexible working

We encourage our people to make the most of all kinds of flexible working options, such as:

  • Working from different locations (if the role allows it)
  • Full or part-time hours
  • Job share
  • Working from home (again, if the role allows it)

Family friendly policies

We also understand that families come in lots of different shapes and sizes, so we believe in doing the right thing by offering a range of family friendly policies, including:

  • Paid maternity & adoption leave
  • Paid time out for fostering and fertility treatment
  • Enhanced paid Paternity leave  - this enables birth fathers, as well as those who become parents through adoption or surrogacy, to take up to 14 weeks of leave at full pay, and both heterosexual and same sex parents are eligible.

Flexible Working News

If you want to know what kind of a difference our flexible and family friendly policies can make, see below what some of our people have had to say about them…

I think good working relationships can have a positive effect on your workload. The positives to having good work relationships is you have lots of people to be able to reach out to and bounce ideas off if you are struggling with a piece of work, you also know what there are people there you can rely on if the workload gets too much and they can listen and help you through it. These are the times where a good relationship with your line manager comes in handy, especially if you feel you don’t have enough work, or you have too much work.

    Gay and Proud?

My hair is brown, I’m kind of tall. I don’t ever think I’m proud of that. So why would I be proud to be gay? But I know I’m proud to be Scottish.
